Hailey Duff hails from Houston, Texas. She discovered acting through ballet when she landed a role in the Houston Metropolitan Dance Company performance of The Nutcracker. By the age of 12, she appeared in the two-part miniseries True Women and in Goldie Hawn’s directorial debut Hope, both filmed in Texas. Haylie was soon out in California pursuing acting full-time.

Duff went on to land roles in such films as Addams Family Reunion, The Newman Shower and Dreams in the Attic, as well as guest-starring roles in the television series Third Watch, Boston Public, The Amanda Show and Chicago Hope. In 2004, she appeared in I Love Your Work, That’s So Raven and recently co-starred as Summer in the cult-hit film Napoleon Dynamite.

This past year was a busy one for Duff with a recurring role in Joan of Arcadia and feature roles including the soon-to-be-released Dishdogz, the animated film Foodfight!, and in Material Girls, co-starring her younger sister Hilary, for Madonna’s Maverick Films.

Also this summer, Duff served as a celebrity judge and spokesperson for the third annual Gillette Venus “Legs of a Goddess” contest – a nationwide search to find the woman with the best legs in America. She is also in nationwide commercials for Mattel’s Barbie and Hershey’s Ice Breakers.

Duff is also a very talented singer/songwriter. She co-wrote two songs on her sister Hilary’s triple platinum solo debut album Metamorphosis. Haylie and Hilary have recorded the Go-Gos’ hit “Our Lips are Sealed” for the A Cinderella Story soundtrack, and will soon record a new version of Madonna’s song “Material Girl” for their soon to be released film Material Girls.

When she is not filming or in a recording studio, she always makes time to spend with her family, friends and of course, her dogs.
