A true child of Hollywood, Carrie Frances Fisher grew up in the shadow of scandal as the daughter of famous parents run amok. But it was her work as the gun-toting heroine in a then little anticipated science fiction film that cemented her in the public’s mind as Princess Leia Organa in “Star Wars†(1977). When Fisher was two years old, her father left her mother for a recently widowed Elizabeth Taylor – culminating in the biggest Hollywood love triangle scandal of the 1950s.
