Katie Liu Leung (born 8 August 1987 in Scotland) is a British actress who plays the character of Cho Chang, Harry Potter’s love interest in Books 4 and 5, in the film version of the J. K. Rowling novel, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, released in theatres on 18 November 2005.
Leung was born to Chinese parents and lives in a £400,000 house in an exclusive district of Motherwell, a town near Glasgow. Her parents are divorced and she currently resides with her father, Peter Leung (a native of Hong Kong), two brothers (one named Jonathan) and a younger sister, Violet. Her father owns a successful restaurant and a fast food business in Motherwell. She attended a £5,000-a-year Scottish private school, Hamilton College, in Glasgow.
